There is no differences... Same tooth count and same diameter. and completely interchangeable in the same trans case.

Not sure how they got to that in the first place.

There is a bit of confusion on the measurements.... I'll talk with PR and see if we can clarify. I have talked with them previously and there seemed to be 3 different bore diameters used on previous versions if my understanding is correct.

Yes, for sure. It won't be any type of durability concern in 21.5. I've run the plastic idler gear in 17.5 buggy for a couple seasons and now in my oval cars...13.5 Street Stock and Sprint car without issues.
